International Architectural Festival Zodchestvo-2009
As part of the annual International Architectural Festival at the Central Exhibition Hall Manezh in Moscow, The GreenHouse exhibition explores various aspects of sustainability and interaction between architecture and nature, showcased through the curated projects. In particular it featured twelve projects as exemplary of “green architecture”.
The overall design concept for the exhibit was conceived to immerse the viewer within the spatial experience of the projects rather than just displaying the projects. Four large walls were built on the four sides of the pavilion where the animation of the projects were projected. Two sculptural benches were designed in the center from which the animations can be viewed. Two large information light lanterns where data about the projects was exhibited for intimate viewing. Both the benches and the information light lanterns were designed with recycled paper tubes.
